Every week we interview Sales Leaders, Individual Contributors (ICs), and SalesOps experts about Sales and AI. Since the field is emerging rapidly, I wanted to share my learnings with you.

Top things we heard from Sales Leaders

  • Sales leaders want to build custom workflows using third party data like call transcripts or emails to track and notify sales team of customer churn potential.
  • Sales Ops Leaders see value in sales methodologies like MEDDPICC, but updating MEDDPICC information is a struggle. AI can make it easier for sales teams by automating data entry.
  • Sales Ops leaders see potential for AI to refine prospecting frameworks and internal documentation shared with sales team. AI can help in condensing and stylizing their guidelines to make it simple and engaging to their team.

Top things we heard from Individual Contributors

  • ICs want to use AI to identify symptoms of challenges their product solves for specific personas. They then want to build a custom messaging sequence that targets these challenges in follow-up communication.
  • IC's want to work alongside AI to reduce wasting time on false positive leads. Sharing custom keywords and knowledge graphs gathered through their experience with their AI will minimize clutter in their pipeline.
